The visual art this year will be a documentary collage of flyers, pictures, videos (and more) celebrating 30 years of Punk Rock in Rock Hill, SC.

Rock Hill has a strong history of punk rock bands and relationships with the network of punk rock in the Carolinas. With new technologies (e.g., facebook, smart phones, the internet), an effort to gather the relics of this subculture history becomes an easier, more fluid, more collaborative process.

The material will come from the community of people who participate in gathering the old relics they can put their hands on, people who are participating in this process fluidly, everyday, through the Internet and digital media.

Mike Gentry

The artistic project of collecting, collaborating, and curating the displaying of such a collection in the space provided will be led by Mike Gentry.
